Anonymous, United Kingdom - A Patient Story

My wife and I have been meaning to write a note to express our thanks and appreciation for the outstanding treatment provided by yourselves and your colleagues at the Newlife Clinic in Thessaloniki. After a fairly negative IVF experience at a clinic based close to home on the outskirts of London, my wife carried out lots of research on the various options available to us, both in the UK and further afield in Europe, and we decided that the egg donation route seemed the most sensible approach. The reviews on your clinic were resoundingly positive and this was backed up with excellent statistics that were clearly explained. We initially had a conversation with Dr. Dovas and Chrysa via Skype and felt everything we needed to know was again explained in detail and without any "hard sell" whatsoever. We felt very comfortable with our decision to travel to Greece and undergo treatment at your clinic and you couldn't have been more helpful in advising on travel arrangements, hotels, etc and giving sensible timescales for the duration of the trip. It was great that we felt we could look upon the experience as a holiday rather than merely a medical procedure!! From the moment we arrived at the clinic we were hugely impressed with the welcome and level of service provided. It was completely at odds with our UK experience where the clinic felt cramped and chaotic and virtually every appointment was delayed. Your clinic felt like a haven of calm and all staff we met were friendly and professional in equal measures. One of my concerns had been that being in a foreign country we may have experienced some communication issues - that couldn't have been further from the truth - every point of detail was explained with absolute clarity. To put it in a nutshell, we found the whole experience faultless. And here we are eight weeks later, excited and nervous in equal measures with a 12 week scan less than a fortnight away...all that remains is to thank both of you and all of your team for everything.
