We chose Greece for our donor egg cycle, as the donor egg procedure in Australia takes months and is not anonymous. Many Australians go to the USA or South Africa for egg donation, as I don’t think they realise that Greece is a great alternative; it costs at least one-third of the price of USA, and has a pool of anonymous donors from various countries.
After a lot of research into clinic options, we chose Newlife in Thessaoniki, because the success rates are amongst the highest anywhere and the overall cost of the cycle unbeatable. We also chose not to go to Athens, as we wanted a more relaxed experience in Thessaloniki, Greece's cultural capital with amazing history.
Chrysa, from Newlife found a donor within 2 weeks of contacting the clinic, and from then the process moved really quickly. Communication regarding medications, scans etc. was always prompt and clear, with Chyrsa and Dr Dovas even working along with my own specialist’s recommendations for immune treatment. I ended up with great quality blastocyst embryos, and am now currently pregnant with twins!
The key to Newlife’s success is that they are completely focused on embryo quality and have the most modern equipment and facility. I had every faith in both Dr Dovas, and Chyrsa, as they are both highly regarded professionals in their fields. There is no communication issue, and they go out of their way to ensure that everything about your experience in Thessaloniki is comfortable, even going as far as giving food and sightseeing advice. Chrysa, who co-ordinates overseas patients is exceptionally compassionate; you can see the shear delight she feels through helping people achieve their dreams of a family. Please don’t hesitate to use this clinic, you will have an exceptionally positive experience.
