The personal experience of a Couple from Australia

My partner and I had an outstanding experience at Newlife. Originally we chose the clinic because of their excellent success rates but I would recommend them for so many additional reasons. I cannot praise Dr. Dovas and Chrysa Karakosta enough for their warmth, professionalism and extraordinary care. It’s clear that they are both passionate about their jobs.

Coming from Australia we initially had concerns about communication because of the time zone differences and possible language barriers. These fears turned out to be unfounded. Throughout the process we remained informed and emails were replied to within a few hours. Chrysa was always available to answer questions and I was impressed by her prompt and detailed answers. This was the case before, during and after treatment, up until the end of the first trimester.

My partner and I had to fly to Greece at different times and could be not together for the egg transfer, so I was somewhat apprehensive about the experience that we would each have at the clinic. I was worried about the logistics of finding my way around a building signposted in another language. Again, there was to worry about. Newlife is a small clinic on one floor and we were both was looked after from the moment we stepped through the door. In addition, Thessaloniki is a relatively small city and easy to navigate, so finding the location was easy.

We had previously been through three unsuccessful rounds of IVF in Australia and throughout the course of each round I had consultations with many different nurses and doctors. It was a pleasant change to be cared for so expertly by Chrysa and Dr. Dovas from beginning to end. I found it reassuring to have an ultrasound done by the same specialist who would later transferred the embryos. I was confident that Dr. Dovas was well aware of my particular physiology and he took the time to explain what he was seeing in the scan and what to expect during the transfer. The personalised approach was very different from my experiences at home, and I felt very much at ease throughout the process.

I cannot praise the staff at Newlife enough for their support and professionalism throughout our treatment. It’s hard to imagine a more caring or efficient team. We are very excited that I am now pregnant with twins, and will forever be grateful to Newlife for helping realise our dream to have children together.
